Colour and texture play a vital role in my paintings since first embracing works in acrylic in 1999. Drawing inspiration from the timeless beauty of the West Coast and influences of ancient cultures, I paint with the view to expressing my impressions, feelings and dreams of the day.

Hints of textures and colour of previous works in embroidery and enamelling produced in the 80’s and 90’s reflect a link in my work over the past 20 years. Enjoying the freedom of working in acrylic and developing new techniques in texture and use of colour has expanded a lust for diversity.
