2026 Port Lincoln Art Prize

Applications are open for The 2026 Port Lincoln Art Prize.

The Port Lincoln Art Prize is an annual event open to all Australian residents. It is a prestigious competition for the many artists who enter and the opportunity to have their efforts publicly acknowledged with the chance to win cash prizes.

The annual Port Lincoln Art Prize commenced in 2008 and has grown and developed into a significant award and exhibition for the region attracting artwork from Australia wide.

Entry forms are accepted until 3:00pm Friday 19th December from local, South Australian and interstate artists, working in any 2D and 3D mediums other than photography.

  • City of Port Lincoln Local Artists Award - $1000 Cash Prize

  • Port Lincoln Rotary Club Youth Award - $500 Cash Prize

  • Port Lincoln Art Group Jane Hutchinson People’s Choice Award - $500 Cash Prize

  • Port Lincoln Arts Council Youth Highly Commended Award - $250 Cash Prize

  • Lincoln Estate Wines & Glen Forest Tourist Park Sculpture Award - $200 Prize Package

Winners will be announced at a reception on Thursday 15th January 2026 from 6:30pm. All artists who enter are invited to attend. The entries will be exhibited from Friday 16th January to Saturday March 28th 2026.

Terms and Conditions of Entry

· All works must be offered for sale. A 25% commission will be retained on sales.

· Entries are limited to two (2) per artist and each work must be accompanied by a fee of $40 Open / $22 Youth

· All 2D works should be ready for hanging with flat D rings and suitable hanging wire on the back of the work. 3D work should be able to be able to be moved easily, and be well supported to stand alone.

· Wall based works to be no longer than two square metres in area excluding frame and 3D works no larger than 1m wide, 1m deep, 2m high and 100kg. These works must fit through a doorway of 1.5m wide by 2m high.

· A clear and detailed label to be firmly affixed to back of artwork consisting of your name and contact details

· If selected, artist agrees not to withdraw exhibited work before the close date of the exhibition.

The NACAPC reserves the right to reject wet, dangerous or fragile works that cannot be safely exhibited.
